My brand new just got today iPhone 12 Pro is on my wireless charger and it will not charge past 99%. Am I missing something?

Is optimized charging on? I’ve also had an issue where my phone just stops wirelessly charging after like 2 minutes. I haven’t had it hang out at 99% yet though

Yes it’s on. What’s the deal? Any clue?

Let your phone drain all the way down till it shuts off. Then charge up and see if it gets to 100%
it’s a battery level calibration

The wireless charging thing, I have no idea. I’ve seen others with the same problem. It’s something with the software not allowing certain Qi chargers to work. Supposedly 14.2 had a fix, but it’s still hit or miss for me. The optimized charging is a feature to keep the battery around 80% until it thinks you’re gonna unplug the phone, to save battery health. I turn off optimized charging because my schedule is wacky, so it never could learn my pattern

I agree it is likely a calibration issue. Not happening on mine, not that I would care. There is no meaningful difference between 99% charged and 100% charged (well other than ~1% :) ). I think the battery indicators are more a ballpark figure anyway, so not too concerned about that personally.
