Just got the wireless charger today and it won’t charge with the magnet in between the Phone and case. It will charge with just the case. Pretty darn depressing since I was waiting for iOS 11.2

Is it Apple certified?

It’s Qi certified, or do you mean the car mount? It’s the spigen one. Have used it for years but never had to worry about wireless. I asked over and over before the X came out and was told it would still work.

I haven’t seen anyone say, that a case with metal in it will wirelessly charge.

I asked a lot before the X came out to see if I even wanted to get a wireless charger.

I am really curious as to who told you it would?

My wireless charger (a magnetized Mophie, which is different than having a magnet in between a wireless charger and a phone) works with my Spigen Slim Armour, but I would not imagine putting a magnet in between the phone and case would allow it to work because:

1. The magnet and case would likely be over 3mm (even the best wireless chargers might not work for over 3mm case);
2. MAGNETS.

My Mophie wireless charger works great with my Apple leather case. It wouldn’t if there was a magnet in the case.

I think you misunderstood or possibly got confuzzled.

Lol I understand why you think that. But I was on the forums for a month before the X came out, everyday and didn’t just ask this once. Although it’s not like we are all experts on here so taking the word of a user isn’t really reliable. Well I can either just take off the case every time or just give this to a someone else. Oh well, wishful thinking I guess.

Depends on where your magnet is. People have had success putting the magnet below where the wireless charging is, below the circle.

The metal plate will not work with this charger, I am frustrated too. I removed the metal plate and the same charge works.
