Wireless Connection

Hi. Recently my connection has been really slow towards the evening. I don't think I have my wireless locked and was wondering if my neighbors could be connecting to my wireless and if that would slow it down? How do I lock it so none of my neighbors can connect if that could be the problem?

Im on a mac, and have a linksys router and on cable.

Yes, if the router is not secured people could hop on it and it could result in a slow down of internet access. See your Linksys manual for instructions on how to setup a secure password on it. If you don't have the manual you can consult online instructions such as this one.
