After my last SMC reset, I've noticed my wifi doesn't seem it likes to connect. Sometime, it'll be great, connects, works great, no drops or anything. Suddently, after coming out of standby, the wifi doesn't want to connect. It finds the network, connects, but doesn't get the IP. At first, I thought it was a problem with the base router, but I can connect without any problems from my dad's iMac and other wifi products, it's just the macbook air.

Is there anyway I can fix this without a full system restore?

Have you tried it with other wireless access pts?

Does it work?

Have you removed all security and tried connecting. That means no
wep, no wpa, no MAC address access control lists.

Have you tried changing the chanel on the router?
do these things, then
let us know what you find.

I've connected with a neighbors unsecured wifi, it worked. When I tried to connect to my wifi using a clean configuration (no security), it still failed to connect.

Right now, sometimes it'll work, sometimes it'll decide not to connect.

do a hard reset of the router and re-enter your pppoe settings if necessary.
