So, can you see each computer from the other but just not connect? Or can neither see the other? If you open Network Utility in Applications/Utilities, it'll tell you the IP address of the Mac (Network interface en1 is the wireless one I think). If you try pinging that IP address from the PC (Open up the command prompt from the Run menu, and type ping 10.0.1.1 or whatever), does it ping or not?


when i try to connect the mac to the pc by connecting to server/browse, i do not see the pc.

likewise from the pc when i run/mac name + ip address as the tutorial stickie suggests, nothing happens. no server found.

i'm going to disable share a single ip address from airport utilities and see if that helps...?

Ok, one last thing that shouldn't work, but the IT guy at works swears it does. Open Network Utility. In the info page, switch the Network Interface to en0. Leave it a bit. Switch it back to en1. Strange but true....

also, i got rid of the wep password on the airport express. and it all works as usual.


so i can't have a password protected airport if i am to do this, huh? seems strange.
