I have a apple extreme base station that is running 7.4.1 software, am running a PPC 2.0 with apple's wireless card installed. My wireless speed has gone from 11 mbps to 2.5 mbps. Hooked up by way of ethernet cable to apple extreme base station I can pull 25-30 mbps from ISP's server when I do test and 2.5 from ISP's server with wireless hook up when I do test?
Dose anyone have an idea of why, extreme is 802.11n, and I know the wireless card is not "n" capable.

Verify your wireless settings are aligned with your type of network. If you have a B/G network make sure the Airport is configured for that compatibility. You can also go to the advanced wireless settings and check the default data rate. If your PPC is in close proximity to the Airport try changing this from 2.5mbps to 11mpbs and save the settings. If that doesn't help then try resetting the Airport to the default configuration once you write down any settings you may need later.
