Hey guys sorry if this has already been asked but there as so many forums!

I'm about to order my first iMac and i want both the wireless keyboard and mouse, the problem is how do i pair them with the iMac!?!? Nothing will be wired in the first time its turned on so how will i be able to do anything - such as tell the iMac to look for the wireless kit?

I don't have an old USB keyboard or mouse, so unless the iMac is clever enough to look the first time its turned on i'm stuffed. I don't want to have to buy a seperate USB mouse just to tell it i have a wireless mouse, defeats the object! lol

Any help would be great!

cheers

I think it will pair the mouse/keyboard during the first boot/install. Not 100% on that, but I'm pretty sure it will.

Thanks guys.

I'm really hoping it will just recognise them straight away as well - but just a little concerned if it doesn't. Had hoped someone may have already done it.

Tried ringing my local apple store but just get put through to the main system where they want an apple product ID number blah blah. Just wanted to speak to some one but no luck.

Unless you have a logistical requirement for wireless keyboard and mouse, I would get wired.

The delays you experience from a keyboard, if you are a fast typer like me, will bother you to no end. The mouse as well isn't so dependable either.

I love both of mine and use them on my MPB. I type pretty darn fast and haven't noticed any typing delay nor have I noticed any delay in my mouse. I really wish they'd release a wireless touchpad though as I really miss that part when sitting on the couch.
