Wireless keyboard will not turn on...

I tried several different batteries and there is no green LED...Before I return it am I missing something?
 
I don't own this keyboard, so the only thing I can reccomend is to make sure the batteries are placed in the correct order/orientation.
 
You tried batteries that you're positive had a full charge? The little switch is also pushed all the way down?
 
I had a similar problem with my BT keyboard. There was an intermittent power connection in the keyboard. I called Apple and they replaced it right away.
