Hi

At the moment I have a wireless connection in the house where my flatmates share a connection. I was wondering if i could add another router to this so that I could pick up the internet from the other hub i.e. bridge the network and have wireless printing.

Is that possible? What router would you recommend? Apples (I know this has usb built in doesn't it?)

is there one cheaper? and better?

Thanks

So your flatmate already has a router? I recommend getting something from the same brand. Apple's AirPort range would suffice but it almost certainly won't extend the range (if that's needed) and they're quite expensive.

I'm not sure this is the type of "distributed computing" this forum refers to... 😉

That being said, I'd agree with mj that going with the same brand is probably a reasonable idea. I used to do that with a Linksys, but then I got "hacked" firmware and just upped the transmission power. No more problems.

But then, I don't print wirelessly either, except occasionally through my iMac.
