I live out in a "mother-in-law" apartment out back of my parents house. The buildings are separated by about 100 feet (probably 120 from where the router is in the house). They have an iMac with a WRT54 wireless router. I get a wireless signal on my Mac Pro but it's usually pretty weak. I am wondering how to make the connection better.

Can I use something like this Buffalo Technology adapter plugged into my USB port to better pickup the signal? I was looking at this option since I could use it with a laptop too.

Or should I do to something to boost the signal on their end?

I'm trying to do this as cheaply as possible. Thanks!
