I hope this is the right spot for this. I'm getting desperate for help.

I have a d-link dl-514 wireless router. Cable modem goes into it and I have a desktop wired into it along with another computer, both of which work great.

However, I can't connect wireless to it. The laptop sees the network, gets a new IP, and everything seems to be great, but I can't even ping it, much less connect to the internet.

I bring home a PC laptop and everything works great. Anyone have any idea as to what I'm missing on my macs? It seems like it's some small thing I'm just not catching.

A problem that many have people seen on the Linksys with Apple computers is the transmission rate.

If you change the transmission rate to 1-2Mbps, does it work? This fixed the same problem I had.

Got it working. Tried your suggestion with a couple of other things and it's working.

Thanks!
