Wireless storage for iTunes?

What are popular choices for wireless hardware storage of iTunes libraries, personal photos, and downloaded videos? Airport Extreme? NAS? I've been using a 2TB external hard drive connected to my MBP for storage, but I would really like to have something set up in the other room that I can backup my media/access it without being physically connected to my laptop
 
Everything you are talking about would be a NAS (Network Attached Storage).

I would recommend a Synology DiskStation, if you want to go the whole hog NAS route. Otherwise, you could just plug a hard drive into an AirPort Extreme and connect to it.
