At first I was sure that the iPhone needed to be connected to a power source in order to do a Wi-Fi Sync. Yesterday I was able to do wireless syncs without having the phone connected at all.

Is this an update or something? Or do I have an awesome (in my opinion) anomaly?

always been able to do it like this, it just doesn't automatically do it. For it to be automatic, it has to be plugged in to a power source, however you can force sync it when its not plugged in through the settings menu there.

That depends on your OS I believe, mine doesn't ever sync unless it's plugged into the computer, even a standard power source won't do it... let alone automatic... I can't force sync it wirelessly unless it's connected to my mac via the dock cable...

Kinda defeats the whole purpose, but I think it's because I'm using a G5 powermac that is running 10.5.8 leopard
