Wow - that is a very cool app and you can't beat the price - free!

Using this with iChat is going to be interesting.....I wonder if you could set this up to be an answering machine for iChat..

I like the way you think, Mr. A. That could be pretty cool if you did it right... maybe find a way to incorporate a record key into the audiochat window too.

Wow this software looks great .. I have always had a use to record sounds or snippets from my computer, but never really wanted to pay a fee. Unfortunately .. doesn't look like I will be downloading it any time soon since my PowerBook is on its way to Apple to get the hard drive replaced again :( :(

HOLY CRAP... you can bypass AAC security really easily with this...

record iTunes playing your AAC purchases - gets recorded as an AIF - bamo.

but still, it takes a long time, you have to listen to each song, when its easier to burn the cd and reimport it back into itunes. also even though it outputs to aiff its still not increasing the quality. it just messes with the compression more.

I made a mistake when packaging up WireTap 1.0.0, which renders the "Timed Recording" AppleScript for WireTap useless. Fixing it is easy, though.

1) click on the Timed recording AppleScript in the Finder
2) choose "Get Info..." from the File menu
3) click on the disclosure triangle for "Name & Extension"
4) change the extension on the file from ".applescript" to ".scpt"
5) there is no step 5

It should work fine after doing that. Sorry about that one...
