I know black on aluminum is really fragile, but Space Gray is too close to silver. Not a great compromise. Whatever. It's just stuff.

ive been saying this since the 5s. glad to someone notices the difference and cares enough to post here about it

Only because Apple made it that way. The 5S was a much darker shade than the 6. I really don't know why they don't just go silver with a black faceplate. In most situations it's easy to mistake iPhone SG with silver.

That being said, the new MacBook looks darker, but so did the iPhone 6 in Apple's glossy web shot. 🙄

Agreed. The silver iPhone should come with a black face option. Maybe down the line they'll find the right formula for a scratch resistant black aluminum finish.
 
I've felt the same for a while. Sucks that the current grey is even lighter than the 5s grey.
