With the new 3Gs, will you be able to text a message to multiple people at the same time?
pretty sure you can, seeing as you can already do that now.
u can do it now on iphone 3g. just hit the plus button to add people in the "to" field when you text.
Exactly, just add more recipients in the new message window.
yea u can already do it, i remember texting about 20 friends all at once on xmas day to wish them a merry xmas!
Still can't reply to all though
this was made possible in 2.0 for all iPhones past present and I'm sure future
i have 3.0 gm, and when i go to add a second recipient, the top changes to "New Group MMS". Does anyone know how to change this to SMS?
Costs the same.
i have unlimited messaging so cost isn't the issue, when i got send a group message some of my lame friends who don't have iPhones don't receive the message.
Pretty sure you can. It adds a new text message there with all their numbers saved, you can type in it again to send another message out to all.
But their individual messages will show up in private text messages from them. So you can reply to 1, or all.
Yes, disable MMS in Settings > Messages.
does that also disable recv mms I wonder
More like 1.1.3.
Yup. I believe this was added in January 2008 along with the "Locate Me" feature.
haha I've done that 2...however, either you can't receive them all in the same box or they don't have iPhones, cause I remember each message they sent back getting it's own convo thing.
