I have a carrier unlocked iPhone which I use on Tmobile, but since the iPhone was designed for AT&T (they use 3G on 1900 MHz), I only get EDGE on my iPhone now (since Tmobile uses 3G on 1700 and 2100 MHz). Which is annoying, really annoying.

Since AT&T bought out Tmobile, will we finally see 3G enabled on iPhones using Tmobile?

It will be more like seeing iPhones running on the new AT&T [3G] network. Won't happen for a while though.
But yes, basically if this deal goes through, all current T-Mobile customers (future AT&T customers) will have access to the iPhone on a 3G network.

Just curious, but what are T-Mobile's edge speeds for you?
