With buying the 2010 27" iMac?

1gb gddr5 amd radeon 5750

$700.

I am guessing its an okay deal, but I'm weary of the gnu issues -- weren't all 2011 (6970m) and 2010 (5750m) GPUs defected? i.e. sooner or later the video cards on the mobos would be dysfunctional.

Do it. I've been using my mid 2010 for years now and that's a kickass deal.
