That would be awesome -- more "green" too, as it's a sheer waste of resources to buy a whole new MBP just for triple-the-battery-life...

Where do you get your info?

It's an 8 hour battery on the 17", the rest have 7 hour batteries. And the main reason it has a high capacity is because it's not removable. So it would not be possible to fit one into the earlier units.
