With SupportProfile gone, no more serial numbers before shipping!

Now that support profile is gone, is there any way to see new purchases' serial numbers before we actually receive them?

Used to do this all the time with new iphone's...

There's a link that says 'view products and services' or something like that, no reason to think it wouldn't show up there...

They claim it only shows up when a device is connect to your Apple ID through iCloud...even though my iPhone doesn't show up...lame

It also gives a really good indication of where it is in the production line. With iPhone's, it typically means that the device has shipped already, and is en route from China.

If I have to wait, I can at least obsess over it.
