I always run with the Spigen Glas.tR protectors. Best coating in the game. Lasts forever. The cheapie Amazon protectors have crap coatings that wear off in a week and the screen gets greasy quick.
Yes Spigen is really good. M-keke is even better though. Better oleophobic coating and adherence to the phone. My phone went for a dive in my pool and the screen protector still stayed on!

No, you've not needed one for a long time.

I stopped using a screen protector after the iPhone 4s and have had no issues with any phone since.

I always used one up until the 12 Pro Max. After almost a year my screen is damn near flawless, so I’m comfortable w/ the idea of running naked glass. Worst case scenario I have to use AC+.

I've never used a screen protector on my last 5 iPhones. None of their screens got scratched - but I never dropped them either
It's far more complicated than just dropping it or not I think.
It's so much about lifestyle. What job you do, how you use the phone, how you carry the phone etc. If all you do is leave your house, jump in a car and then leave the phone on your desk at work, then yeah, no protector required (not saying that is you). But there are a myriad of lifestyles that may dictate the need for a screen protector.

If you have a really good case, then its mostly unnecessary unless you drop your phone at an angle that hits the screen on the corner of a table or corner of a step, then it will likely be fine.

I have never used a screen protector in my life and never had my screen scratched. But i dony ever lay my phone face down either.

I've too have found the screen to be very susceptible to scratches (don't know if it's the coating or not) and only recently started using a screen protector. The rest of the phone is pretty durable and scratch resistant. I don't use a case. I've also found that no matter how much Apple claims they've improved durability whenever a youtuber, does a scratch test. There is no difference.

The screen protectors are cheap and hardly noticeable. I always have one on my phone. When those small scratches inevitably appear, pop it off and put a new one on. As good as new. Cannot do that with a naked screen.

I scratched the screen with multiple long & short hair line from mid to bottom of my brand-new 1-day-old iPhone 13 Pro so yes I wish I had purchased a screen protector.

Thanks for making the sacrifice, so those of us who did get a screen protector can feel confident about our decision;)

In all seriousness, though, you might want to get a screen protector now. If they are really fine scratches then usually a screen protector will hide them, so you don’t have to see them or think about them anymore. And either way, it will stop you from getting any additional scratches.
