I know, I can't believe they're already dropping the headphone dongle. These are the most expensive phones they've ever released and they can't be bothered to include a $9 dongle that probably costs them $.10 to produce that provides essential functionality to the phone. But yeah, they're going to throw in free AirPods, which still sell like hotcakes.
I think the fast charger is an even bigger deal. I mean, they couldn't even put in a 2A regular charger? I'm wondering if the fast charging is causing excessive battery degradation, and they want to keep most people away from it?
That's an issue as well. It's really obnoxious how little Apple are giving us for the amount of money they're asking.

Fast charging DOES cause degration. It’s a fact you can’t get around. If Apple only included a fast charger In the box people would be pissed because “Apple is trying to kill your phone battery faster” “Apple wants the battery to go so the phone will be slower and you’ll buy a new one”, “planed obsolescence!!!!”. The way it is now fast charging is something people only get when they really need it, and that’s probably the way it should be with current battery chemistry.
Why are people allowed to troll like this? What an asinine question. It was obviously posed to incite a crowd that's already up in arms about Apple "slapping us in the face".
Yet Apple's batteries still seem to degrade faster than Samsung's. On the flip side, Apple makes battery replacements a lot easier. They could at least bundle a fast charger in the box, but have it turned off by default so that people would have the ability to fast charge when they need to. Even better would if iOS gave a notification when plugged into the faster charger that you could click to fast charge for that session only.
