There's reports of a pretty massive MBP pro update but frankly I want the best deal on refurbished or slightly outdated 16in 2tb MacBook air. I looked at apple refurbished and the current available models are 3k! Would best buy be a good place? I don't mind 2-4 years old but I am not seeing any models for sale on best buy or eBay with 2tb hd. I priced a current 16in 2tb with trade in at apple and its about 2.3k.

Processor wise I am a light user given the workflow but I want the mother of all mb that'll last me 10 years or more that'll store my data.

I need the biggest screen for when I work on my main job at home 2x a week (chrome windows running health care programs and chrome browsers with excel).

I am also starting private practice (therapy) 2-3 days a week, just safari browser and using program to write notes.

I also need the largest possible SSD to store music, movies, personal pictures consolidating my data from hard drives to my MacBook with backups made regularly.

Currently I have the 15in m2 MacBook air 2022 and it's been great but it has 256gb ssd. It's been annoying trying to manage my data off at the ssd, and I have to curate my media aggressively sometimes. The 15in has been great though sometimes I wish the screen was bigger for my main job, hence why the 16 is perfect for me. I do have iPad I can screen share but I find over time I stopped using them for secondary screen.

2TB is a CTO (Configured To Order) spec, so you're unlikely to find them at Best Buy etc.

Apple refurb is typically the best deal.

To my knowledge there is no such thing as a 16" macbook air. It's only the 15" macbook air and the 16" macbook pro and downsizing from their.

If you are running any sort of business that falls under HIPPA regulations, I would strongly advise keeping your personal data and content on a separate machine entirely rather than keeping it on the same machine as your work related files and health care apps.

But other than your opinion do you have any thoughts only getting a 2 TB MacBook Pro? lol

I take you view in consideration and understand your view point. I want to note these days there's no "files" per se. Everything is in a portal via tunnel through VPN. Everything is managed through a web portal, entering notes, client files, etc... There's literally "no files" to manage off line on my laptop. When you authenticate you have access for a few hours. When you log off access is gone.

Sometimes you might find good deals on ebay for open box or refurbished-excellent condition. check out itsworthmore on ebay. I purchased an M1 Pro in very good condition. It looked brand new.

Wow there’s 8tb model with 128gb ram for 2k! That’s nuts!

If a price looks too good to be true...

I'd suggest keeping an eye on the Apple online refurbished store.
When you buy there, you KNOW what you are receiving...
