With what email account will iCloud work?

Very exited about iCloud, cant wait!

Now, will it work with gmail or do I have to set up a new email account with apple?

Will it only work with @icloud.com (if it even exists), @mac.com or @me.com?

That would be your Me.com email address. Going through the entire icloud info, it looks as though they will be keeping @me.com for Email accounts you obtain through Apple.
