Hey,

i have a router where i can plug in a usb printer. I plugged in my HP Deskjet 5900. When i plug this printern into my MacBook Pro itself i can print without doing anything and i recognices it as a HP5900 (So its perfekt plug and play/print)
When i print it in my WLAN router i can use it with my Windows PC and i worked.... With my MBP i was searching for it and it didn't find it. So i told him the name of the printserver (which is fritz.box) and i found a printer but didn't recogize him as the HP 5900... If i choose manually theres no option for the 5900er series.

What can i do?

Thx for helping me, greetings,

What router do you have? I have a feeling the router isn't allowing your Mac to probe the printer to discover its model.

Actually its a modem and a router the same time...

it's a Fritz Box Fon. Thats what the router says:
FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7140 Annex A, Firmware-Version 39.04.41

Thx for helping 🙂
