WMP in mac OS

When watching WMP videos online (like on nba league pass.com), and for some reason I can't skip ahead to later in the video, and instead flip4mac requires me to buffer the whole thing before I can skip around.

On my windows machine in IE, I can start up the video and then skip ahead past halftime right from the start. Is there any way I can do this natively on my mac?
