WMV to MPEG?

is there a way/beautifully needed App that can convert WMV to MPEG?
i lost all my original AVI's when my hard drive died all i have left are some WMV's you cant load them into Flash, all for a university project 🙁

You could try getting MPlayer, and using that to read the WMV files (It actually can read them, even WM9 files), and then get it to dump the audio and video streams into an MPEG file.

Simply not true. MPlayer and VLC can play the audio of WM9 files. However, neither can play the video of these files. Only Windows Media Player 9 can play WM9 video on the Mac.
