Penis envy? Nope. Wanting to pee anywhere while standing and not have to worry about the cleanliness of restrooms? Yeah. Dealing w/ cramps so bad, that you can't catch your breath and sit upright? Those are the moments I semi-wish my organs weren't quite there.

But as for comments about having fun looking or touching your own body? If you really felt like the average woman for any amount of time, you'd feel too self-conscious to really enjoy being in your own skin.

From a Gay male perspective I can see the "reality" of your question.

But for some of us, these questions are asked on a daily basis as we go through our lives. Not to mention those of us that are/or have been in long term Gay/Lesbian relationships - who is the "male" and who is the "female"?

I have given some serious thought of starting this very thread, but haven't had the courage to do so.

I might start this thread: Woman For A Day - Who Would You Be?

Count me in as being Jessica Alba, and then I would head straight for the adult toy store. :D

I can't imagine anyone ever not thinking about this, even if for only a "second". It's just too interesting. So many different possibilities, (a lot of them kinda cool for the first 24 hours ;) ), I'm mean who wouldn't want to look through someone else's eyes, let alone have all these different sensations. From something as simple as walking. Men and women walk differently. How would it feel to naturally sway your hips or not to? To interact with the world around you from a different plane. I totally think it would be a cool experiment (as long as I could switch back as soon as I wanted to).

I think the bigger interest for me is just to experience things from another person's perspective. Sure, the sex issue would be interesting, but just the basics--how things touch, taste, look, etc. through the nerves and synapses of another person...

This is such a stoner discussion.

Just when I thought I had seen it all on MR

Personally, I've never thought what it would be like to be a women for just a day... but permanently, yes.

I think most people, once they get over whatever weird sexual delusions that they might have, would not want to remain a woman for that long. For others, 24 hours is not enough to fully understand the female perspective. Although perhaps having missed out on the developmental years one could never fully understand.

Perhaps you're right, particularly about the delusions, but I think you meant to say 'most men'. ;)

Yeah, you are correct. I was thinking at the start of the sentence "people... would not want to remain opposite sex...", but by the end I sorta decided that it was more likely that men would have these delusions. :)

Do it for the benefit of science!

Oh yes, the distinct perks associated with being male.

It would be nice for one day, not to have to put up with those hairy hot sticky ornaments sticking to my legs as I'm trying to walk.

They make something for that. It's called castration.

Or underwear. I always confuse those.

Ah, Heinlein. Interesting book... but a bit disturbing. ;)

For me? Yeah, it'd be cool to try it out, just to see, but I wouldn't want to stay that way. If I could be a woman or a bird (non-English-slang version) for a day, though, I'd be a bird. Bird or whale? Whale.

But, barring animal transformations, I'd be a woman for a day. Maybe even a week or two.

Animal Man? When Delano took it over, it got interesting for a bit, but come on, there were way better comics in that day.

It's the only Heinlein I've ever read. Oddly, it's come up several times this week.

heheh... I always like to poke at my breasts... they're so fun, kind of like portable plush toy... But you can't really feel like the opposite gender if it's only for one day because girls and boys are taught differently so you missed all that "good bits", the only difference will be same mind in a different body. Hmm,, I wonder what does it feels like to have that squishy bits dangling there all the time:rolleyes: And would we be different if my twin and I are males? Or what if I'm a male and she female... That'd be very interesting... Maybe we won't be as close...

A lifetime isn't enough.

That was fun for awhile, but I've stopped for now. Severe hormonal fluctuations + piercings = not so fun to poke at. Caressing is much nicer. ;) I'll leave the poking for other people...

Man, I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad I am not a woman. They put up with so much crap just on a daily basis, let alone monthly, let alone during pregnancy... They all deserve medals.

However, if I were a woman, even for a day, I'd find the nearest lipstick lesbian and go to town.
