That's what should happen when you forget to turn off the ringer at a theater.

But I'm surprised it got stuck in this ladies throat, if she is the white trash she sounds like -- she probably has stuffed bigger obects down her throat -- and likely eaten bigger things when at the feeding trough.

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - A woman who police thought deliberately tried to swallow her cell phone during an argument with her boyfriend was apparently the victim of an assault instead, authorities said.

Police have a suspect in the bizarre incident that sent the 24-year-old woman to the hospital last week, Sgt. Allen Kintz said. Police would not say whether the boyfriend was the suspect and would not explain exactly what they believe happened.

“It appears she didn’t voluntarily swallow this phone,” Kintz said. “It’s not quite the way it was first portrayed.”

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Missouri man has been charged with forcing a cell phone down his ex-girlfriend’s throat last week.

Police in Kansas City say Marlon Brando Gill has been charged with felony assault.

According to court documents, Melinda Abell told detectives that Gill grabbed her by the mouth and shoved the cell phone until it became lodged in her throat. Surgeons had to remove it.
Police initially issued a statement saying Abell, 24, had swallowed the phone. A spokesman explained that investigators weren’t able to talk to her until after the surgery.

Early Friday, police in Blue Springs, Mo., responded to a call from Gill, who said Abell was having trouble breathing. Police arrived to find her with the phone lodged in her throat.

Police were initially told that Gill wanted the phone and Abell tried to swallow it so that he could not get it.

I've been waiting for this for quite some time... doesn't really surprise me. Then again, I've heard much more gross.

Glad she is O.K. They might want to check her skull, for evidence of brain however.
