Lotsa ladies on these forums, which is nice to see. Myself, I will be getting a Black Wifi 16 or 32GB. If they're out of 16, I'll consider it fate and upgrade. I think I may wait on a cover, just to see what the competition cooks up. I'm not fond of the aluminum being exposed, so a sleeve might work better for me.

I really want one, but I guess I need to buy a new Mac instead. Right now I have an iBook G4 running 10.4.11 and the iPad requires at least 10.5.8. I think that buying an upgrade to Leopard would cost more than the iBook is worth!

I'll be hanging out at my local Apple store on Friday to pick up a black 64 GB 3G.....I'm pretty much of a "regular" at launches of new Apple products and I'm looking forward to Friday for that reason, too. While waiting in line I'll be able to chat with friends on my iPhone4 that I got on its launch day and I'll be checking in on this and my other forums on my current first-gen iPad, too.....

I will be - won't be waiting in any lines for more than an hour or so, though, because I am 6 months pregnant and not a masochist. I'd like to get the full Apple Store experience, but I'll probably call my Best Buy and Target (which are closer and right next door to each other) and see how the situation looks there first. I care more about getting the product than being seen at the Apple Store! I plan on getting the basic 16G Wifi model.

Another Female here! I'm gettting an iPad 2 on friday also. I will be getting it at either Best Buy, Target, Walmart or Sam's Club. BB is my first choice. I will be calling to see if any stores are selling early.

Definitely buying one. My hubby will get my current iPad. And since I have twinfants and a toddler I'll have to buy mine online - there is no way I'm standing in line with 3 under 3. That's just 32 flavors of crazy.

You betcha....am going this Saturday to the local FNAC to pre-order my new black 32 Go, 3G iPad 2. But, will have to wait until the weekend following the 25th of March to pick it up.

Can't wait! For the moment, I'm just excited for all of you stateside and looking forward to reading all about the new iPad while waiting for the next two weeks to crawl by. (And I'm beginning to suspect that my husband is already getting jealous of the iPad I don't even have yet--I keep catching him browsing Apple's website and checking out the guided tours, lol.)
