Womans opinion on GTR

Personally I don't give a crap. I don't judge a guy's merit by his wheels, at least not entirely. :p So long as it's not a complete beater (and even then, if it's got character) I'm not that fussed.

edit: The design is OK and I'm sure it's fast as hell, which is fun. I wouldn't buy one myself but it's not like I'd recoil in horror at being a passenger in one. Though I think the stereotypical 'group' of people who might like one may be a bit race-dorky for my taste.

This thread is merely out of curiousty.

What 'group' of people do you think the GTR is most popular with? Do woman like the design?

I am sorry for the confusion.

I would say that the car is most popular with middle aged men in with a low self esteem.

YAY

I like the GT-R, but I wouldn't buy one due to it not being my taste for performance cars. I would go for the Z06. Performance through raw power. The GT-R gets a lot of help from its computer nannies to achieve the awesome performance it gets.

Someone finally decided to give a relevant answer to this seemingly simple question.

Other people seem to come here to start arguments over a simple, harmless initial post.

Why? Name some sports cars that aren't?

Any woman worth their salt as a girlfriend won't give 2 craps what car you drive (unless it doesn't work properly, in which case it might result in mild annoyance).

I bet that would depend on how it was being driven. :D

M3, Z4 M, SLK 55 AMG (I hardly see anyone in the second gen SLK, never mind guys :p), STi, EVO, M5, C63, etc. :D

Well, that's not necessarily true. What if she's a gearhead herself?

Don't agree with most of those at all, but yeah.....STi, EVO. I was only considering cars that were a bit more flash than that, but sure.

Anyway, I highly doubt that the GTR is for middle-aged men with low self esteem. If anything, the M3 and Z4 are more likely candidates for a middle aged man than a GTR, whether he's suffering from a serious mid-life crisis, or is just generally pathetic. :p

I'm no woman, but the GTR is on my top 5 favorite car list. if you had one, I'm sure woman would notice, but if they had the money for a GTR, I think they would buy something else.

I don't like it. too big and boxy for my likes. I'd prefer a sleeker, smaller car; this one almost screams "look at how nice and big and fancy my car is!"

I personally like the look of it. It has the base of the 350z with some attitude. I don't mean to speak against your mom, as she's clearly the representative for all women walking, but I personally like it despite the fact that I'm a truck girl. ;) I'll take one in black.

x2! I would say the GTR is Asia's Corvette, but no where near as nice.

I would guess middle-aged men with a thick wallet or distorted priorities.

So, middle-aged guys - somewhat egocentric and intermediately concerned with what people think.

Well the tail reminds me a little of a 2005 Mustang. Overall the car looks ok, and plenty of oomph.

I'd give it a thumbs up

(Still wouldnt trade it for my wabbit ;) )

I don't like the hood flares it has either go big or don't put em on there, yeah they might grow on me but at a first impression ruins the line on the car hood. They needed to do more chrome; the nose cross member needs some chrome bad, if not chrome they need to get away from that plastic that they have there right now it looks aweful in the pic. Not a fan of the two tone upper body and lower splash area. also the A-piller. Other then that I hope it has Brembo stock and i am sold

I agree about that. Or corvettes, you do not know how many corvettes are in my area that have CORVETTE on the windshield and the back and around the license plate, and the guy wearing corvette sunglasses, watch and T-Shirt. I'm dying to go up to one of them and say "Nice car! What kind is that?" lol.

I love the GTR, if I had the means to purchase it (or if I ever do in the future), I would, mostly for the track though, where it is at home. I don't understand people who buy nice sports cars but never take them to the track
