I currently run Bootcamp/Windows 10 on a 2019 iMac running Catalina.
Wonder how the change to the Apple ARM chips will effect that? I understand there will be Rosetta 2 to emulate Intel based programs, but when you use Bootcamp the computer reboots. And a lot of Windows 10 programs - especially games - are made to run on Intel chips.
Any thoughts?

If anything it would have to be a ARM version of Windows which is probably coming soon considering Microsoft is already implementing support for Office in macOS.

But x86 apps are gone, and I’m not entirely convinced Apple will let Boot Camp even run on their own custom hardware.

Apple described a Virtualization capability, and showed Parallels running on the ARM Mac. While they didn't mention Windows, I would expect virtualization is the key to running Windows going forward instead of Bootcamp. But, perhaps an ARM version of Windows? It may not be in the initial release of Big Sur (just speculating).

Agreed. Native support for Windows comes to an end with the transition to Apple Silicon. Windows on ARM is only for OEMs, and I doubt Microsoft will find the Mac market compelling enough to release a retail version of it, or that Apple would open up the Mac for other operating systems running natively. But perhaps if there is demand, Microsoft can release a version of Windows on ARM for use in a virtual environment.

There is an ARM version of Windows 10 but it is a work in progress, I think the last thing I read they were trying to get 64 bit apps up and running.
