When my iPhone is in landscape the screen is still in portrait mode in settings and on the front. Is this correct

The. lock is off. It goes in some apps but not all and my iPhone 8 plus used to but its on 12.1 and has stopped also. I'm just using ios 12 on my max

Amazing up til now I realise the setting can rotate

I restored it and it does now after I go into Settings>General. I don't rotate on an 8 plus I have on the home screen on it nor my Max so it must be something to do with ios 12

I think it’s down to whether you have Zoomed Disply on or off.

I have it on and my Settings page doesn’t rotate.

Think apple must’ve changed the behaviour of the home screen in iOS 12. It used to work on my 8 plus.

I think it has to be on standard but it still doesn't work on the home screen

Yeah the home screen thing was by default for the Max. I don’t think many people actually use the phones in landscape while on the home screen.

No, I noticed it when I put the phone on charge in landscape, I thought there was something different to the 8+
