Background: Mid-2012 MBP 15.4", 2.6 Ghz i7, 16GB, 512GB SSD, non-retina. Currently 10.13.5. I have used First Aid, checked logs (too many to sift through, found nothing), time and date are correct, re-downloaded multiple times. Reinstalled 10.13.5. None of these worked.

I'm trying to install Mojave on my MBP and I cannot get the above to go away and install MacOS Mojave.Having tried the above, do you have any other ideas or questions that would help me find the problem? Many thanks!

And, after days of trying, a new message from multiple efforts this morning. It gets to a point where it says 3 minutes left and then gives me this error...

Your installer for 10.14 PB2 should be 5.86 GB.

Are you simply trying to install by running the downloaded app?
Have you tried to make your own bootable installer from that downloaded app, then boot to that installer?

I was. Turned out 17th time was a charm, and it is now installing it. And it oinly took since last Thursday.
