I have an indigo g3 clamshell and it won't power up...adaptor is good...can it be a loose wire or switch..how to tell, how to fix?...help appreciated

When did it stop powering up? What changes were made before this happened? Does it give any response at all or is it completely dead to the word? :)

just got, dead to the world

Actually just got this as part of a lot...was looking for one for my daughter, and found a few, most work great...this would not power up...The battery does appear to charge in that the plug in turns green, but nothing happens when you push the start button, reset does nothing wither...could it be the start button itself...is this a pain to research/fix? any help appreciated.

The fact the battery isn't charging is a bit of a worry since it should have discharged enough to warrant a recharge despite the machine being shut down. It might be a logic board issue (quite a notorious problem on early iBooks) in which case you'll need to replace it. Depending on how handy you are with a screwdriver and how cheap you get a replacement board, it's probably not worth it on an old Clamshell. Of course, this is just a guess at the problem. It's pretty difficult to troubleshoot a problem like this over a forum so it might be better to take it to a technician.
