I just got the new MBP 13.3" 2.2 GHz. I have a DVD that I backed up all of my pics, documents, etc. on. But it's not reading it. Any help?

This may be really really stupid, but are you inserting it upside down by any chance?

Sorry if its a stupid suggestion, but I did that with my first iMac...

What do you mean by "not reading it"?

Is the disc not appearing?

Does it appear, but it shows up as a blank disc?

Or, do the files appear, but you can't open or copy them?

I have the same problem. I tried multiple discs and the same problem. I might replace the drive since it's out of warranty. I would make an appointment with the Apple store. It's still under warranty?

What does it show, just the drive, or the drive and the name of the disc?

It shows the drive and name of disc, but when I hit "Verify Disk" in Disk Utility, it gives me an error and says things like "Invalid number of allocation blocks" and "Volume Check failed".
