Won't wake up

My friend's old MBP (from 2008 or earlier)... he's my college roommate, and said that he got it the summer before last, so I assume it's early 2008 or earlier model.

Anyways, we've reset the PRAM and SMC... suggestions?

What do you mean "it won't wake up."

Is the "breathing" light (stuck in sleep) on or is it just not not starting up?

Does it chime when you start it?
