The product description states: "The stylish and reliable machine is made with highly recyclable materials Bamboo."
I would have to assume it's bamboo laminate.

Bamboo is considered a "green" product because it's fast growing and it re-grows when cut. Think of it as grass on steroids. It's also surprisingly one of the hardest of woods even more so than oak.

Using wood that can be reused, maybe to make more cases, backs up Apple in their eco friendly system 😀
