This screenshot is from '04, but it is the same in '08.

Where could it have gone and what can I do to get it back?

Thats odd :confused:, does the save as dialog box come up if you press cmd+shift+s.

Nope, the Formating toolbar becomes visible in both if is not already. If it is visible, it just becomes selected.

When I type in 'save as' to the Help menu the only thing that comes up is 'Save As Web Page...'.

I'm using 04 and i have the "Save as" menu option. I have not installed 08 yet. It's still setting on my counter.

I think I noticed that it was missing before I installed '08, but I can't remember for sure. Doesn't make sense that '08 would remove the Save As feature from Word only. It is still present in Excel and Powerpoint for both '04 and '08.

I have 08 and I noticed that you can customize the menus. Try putting it back in.

Alright, this got it back for both (added back in '04 and '08). I just had to add the shortcut through the Keyboard system preferences.

Thanks!

Now to get started on the 7 page paper that's due Friday...

*Quick Question - Is there a way to get Return/Enter to act like it used to in '04? Right now I have to use Shift+Enter/Return to get the next line because just Enter/Return is doing a double return or something.
** Nevermind. Doesn't seem like you can. A plain Return starts a new Paragraph and to get the manual line break you need to use Shift+Return.
