Word Default Language

Hi

Can someone please tell me how to set Word's default language to English UK please? I keep selecting Tools - Langauge - English UK- Default and confirming I want that as default. I then tells me that it will affect all documents on the "normal" template only for it to revert moments later to US. It is driving me crazy!

I gave up trying to get this change to stick years ago - my conclusion was that someone somewhere at M$ is laughing at us all!!

Try doing it in the Normal template. Then save it.

The Normal template is stored in /Users/<your user name>/Documents/Microsoft User Data.

Hmm. Seems I'm not alone then!

I will try the normal template thing you suggest greg. I can't get to it today though. I notice that the problem doesn't occur on my laptop installation mind you. Maybe there is something I have changed on my desktop without knowing?
