I think if you reinstall it it'll ask you for the name..... not sure though its been so long sense i installed word

If that doesn't work, there is probably a file somewhere in one of the Library folders that must be deleted before you re-install....

Then the indicated solution would be to buy Word, or Office.

If you are a student, a teacher, the parent of a student you can buy the Student and Teacher edition of Office Mac for a nice discount. THe restrictions are you cannot sell it to anyone (even if you are finished using it) and it does not get you reduced cost upgrades to the retail versions next release.

Also, unless you simply must use Word, AbiWord 2.4 is a nice little bare bones Word Processing Application, and it's freeware.
