Hey guys and girls...I'm having problems with my WordPress install on a website I've created. It's a blog-driven site for multiple users on both Windows and Mac platforms. Some of my users cannot login to post their posts. The site works fine on my computer running OS X in all browsers.

However, for all my Windows using friends, they cannot login if they are using Internet Explorer. They type in the name and password, and hit login, and the page goes blank every time. This does not happen at all in Firefox, nor in AOL's built in browser, and I haven't tested any others.

I've searched WordPress's forums and I found this. He seems to be having a similar issue, but no one has resolved it.

Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to get the site to work with IE on Windows? Most of my users are novices and judging by the amount that I've been updating versus them, don't really care to learn a new browser.

Thanks for your help.

It could be a redirect problem with XP SP2, I remember reading something about that and getting concerned it would break our J2EE web app at work but it didn't.

Do the users get any sort of error? Do they have Use friendly Http Error messages turned off? The default of that being on is the bane of my existence a lot of the times...

Does the blank page contain anything useful if you get them to view the html source by right clicking? Are subdomains involved at all? Maybe www. is used sometimes but not others?

Sorry but I'm just clutching at straws here, I doubt it is a major problem with Wordpress as it would be plastered all over the place if it was, wht version of Wordpress are you using though?

I just updated to 1.5.1.3, but I haven't been able to ask any of my users if it works yet. I'm hoping this all becomes a moot point and that upgrading did the trick. Buuuut, in case it doesn't...

I was using 1.5.

And when they enter the correct information and hit login, all they get is a blank screen. No error message or anything. Reloading the page or hitting the Back button goes to the login page, if I recall correctly.

The blog is in the subdomain "public_html."

I'll have to see if they can view the source, but according to the post I linked to before, that option is grayed out or otherwise unavailable.

I'll update if I find out any more information.
