Hello all.
I got a new apple MBP for work. My personal laptop was an MBP 09. Do you all sign in with your appleID on your work computers.? Ideally Id like to have access to some of my programs that I download on my MBP that are associated with appleID. However is my work privy to all my information if I do this?
If I separate from current place of employment how do I undelete all my stuff and associated appleID? Thanks!

First of all I would check out if you are allowed to install private stuff on a work machine. My employer wouldn't allow this at all, out of security reasons etc.

personally if u have admin access id just create a second partition on the drive with a separate install. then if u split you could delete the partition restore the drive to its full size and be good.

How do I do this?

Thanks guys for your help.

  1. download macOS from mac app store
  2. download diskmaker x http://diskmakerx.com/
  3. plug in a usb formatted as macOS extended journaled
  4. open diskmaker x
  5. create the usb
  6. reboot
  7. install macOS choosing the drive parition that you created in disk utility.
and when and if you need to turn the pc into your work all you would have to do is open disk utility and delete the volume you created and extend the disk back to its original state.
