Hello,

Curious to see what everyone's work flow for getting pictures onto your iPad and for that matter off your iPad.

Me: I use dropbox pretty much exclusively to get them both off and on. Sometimes email, but pretty much dropbox.

If it's any more than a couple pics, I use my camera connection kit (CCK). Can't beat it for speed. I just have the lightning to USB one, which I use as is for transferring pics from my iPhone, or with an sd card reader for pics from my "real" camera.

For getting pics off, I drag them off onto my PC.

I use Dropbox and it isn't too bad. A bit slow if you are trying to transfer a lot of photos but it was free. I have been using the Phototransfer app and like it a lot. Nice to be able to direct where you want photos to go on the iPad.

I use Loom and love it. Photos added from anywhere will automatically sync with the ipad. Comes with 5gb to give it a good try. Nested folders make photos easy to file and find.

Picturelife is very nice too. Has some nice features but not the nested folders.

Both are excellent for what you are asking.

Photosync. Supports pretty much transfer to anything.

Question for you. I use Dropbox to transfer photo's and it does a pretty good job of uploading in the background.

Having read some of the comments, it seems you have to manually upload files, is that the case?

Here is the link I am looking at:
https://itunes.apple.com/app/photosync-wirelessly-transfers/id415850124?mt=8

there isn't a user's guide, but from the help file, it looks like you have to click on every photo to transfer it.

If you're only sending photos to Dropbox then the Dropbox app is fine, background is a nice touch. PhotoSync can transfer directly to pretty much anything including dropbox, PCs, iOS devices, NAS... (although not in the background to my knowledge).

If you don't need full resolution and you have an iCloud account then you can transfer photos using your photostream.

My phone doubles as a work phone, and they have photostream blocked and iCloud. But I can get to dropbox and evernote! Not complaining as I am awaiting them to block those too.

That stinks. Can you set it up where when you take a picture it automatically is uploaded to Dropbox or do you have to manually upload your pictures?

On the phone I have it setup to load in the background uploading. Which is working, and working quite well to boot. But I am always looking to see if there is a better way etc.
