Which OS are you running?

El Capitan 10.11.1 beta. Mac is MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011). System Report says:

Apple Bluetooth Software Version: 4.4.2f1 16391

Hardware, Features, and Settings:

Name: MBP

Address: E4-CE-8F-02-22-41

Bluetooth Low Energy Supported: No

Handoff Supported: No

Instant Hot Spot Supported: No

Force Touch and haptic feedback work perfectly though so I'm not sure why they say you need Bluetooth 4.0.

Enjoy. For me, it's a huge improvement over the previous trackpad. I just ordered the new keyboard so it matches. The Force touch and haptic feedback really is nice in Mac OS X. I've been playing with it for an hour and half and force touch is second nature now. Very happy with it and very happy that I don't have to screw with this dumb BT 4.90 dongle that doesn't seem to work.

Is force touch like 3D Touch?

As far as I know it is. I have an Apple Watch and it's the same thing. I'm not sure if 3D Touch and force touch are different or not. My guess is that 3D Touch on the 6s might just have more pressure sensitivity.

Are you able to peek and pop in safari?

I've been reading some info about this trackpad and everyone is saying that it doesn't actually move but it makes sounds that tricks your brain into thinking that it is clicking. This is blowing my mind. Is it really true? I've been holding it close to my face and pressing on it and it seems to move every so slightly when I press it.

Yep. It's the Taptic Engine causing haptic feedback. Basically, you think it's clicking when only it's a very specific vibration.

I was just at the Apple Store in my town and it was loud in there. I was checking out the new Macbook and I couldn't hear a thing but I could feel the trackpad clicking. Is that an actual click or just haptic feedback?

Toggle the power switch off and the clicks should stop. This is purely the haptic engine tricking your brain into thinking it's actually clicking/moving. It's the same as the new MacBooks and macbook pros.

Felt the same way when the apple guy explained that to me. Thought it was a complete gimmick until I tried it.

What's crazy is that a few established tech sites are reporting its not compatible.
Yeah they obviously have no idea what they are talking about and didn't even test it. I am very happy with the trackpad. Force touch is really nice in OS X. I just had to get the keyboard too so it matched. ;-)
