1. Anyone know if you can tether a camera directly into Lightroom Mobile with iPad OS?
2. With Sidecar, can you tether camera to a Mac and use an iPad to mirror the screen so you are viewing the photos captured into Lightroom on the iPad instead of the Mac?
3. After plugging in an SD card and editing photos, is there a way to transfer photos on my network back to the Mac without using the cloud?

Thanks.

Absolutely fundamental. Even if importing through camera roll worked, I didn‘t find a mass photo delete in iPadOS 13
I don't think that is true tethering. True tethering is when the you shoot an image, and then automatically goes to the computer.

Back to the OP.

Yes and no. All Sidecar does is add a second screen to your Mac via the iPad screen. You aren't running iPad apps on the iPad, but the Mac will recognize touch from the iPad. But the version of LR you would interact with on the SideCar'd iPad would be the macOS version.

You could probably write a shortcut, or at the last connect to a file share using Files on the iPad.
