I've applied to an Apple Store in the UK using the online application system.

How long do Apple take to get back to you? And if the dig me like I hope, how long until I'd be working there?

Does anyone know about UK pay? Cashier and Personal Shopper positions?

I need to email the store in question and thank one of the employees for his help the other day. Would it be a good idea to mention I've applied?

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

I guess the amount paid could depend on the area in which you'd work in, but all Cashier/Personal Shopper/Concierge/Mac Specialist etc regardless of part time or full time are paid the same.

I previously worked for Apple Retail in the South East as a Mac Specialist and it was £7.70.

As for times taken getting back to you then as for current open stores, it can vary. If the position is open and they are recruiting, they could call you the day you had applied online. It happened to someone who started working at the branch I was at.

Where as with me, it took them a long time to call me. Just need the right timing and luck!

I would really recommend going into the store and having a good chat with the staff, make yourself known that you know a lot without sounding too arrogant. Try speak to management or whoever is in charge of Human Resources at the store as they usually check applications/interview new staff, if they remember your name, you're more likely to get hired. Good luck, its a fun job :)

I wouldn't mention it in the email (but still send one to be nice)

I would go into the store, introduce yourself to the manager and take it from there-- much better than calling and shows that you have initiative.

    best of luck to you!
