Thanks for working so hard at this. All this hacking and SSH is new to me, and I don't want to damage anything, so I am eagerly awaiting this for my Touch (I'm getting it on Friday, can't wait!).

Unfortunately I have to go somewhere, and since I just rewrote the last part of the JailBreak, (it was really clunky), I didn't have time to release it... It'll be out tomorrow morning.

Sounds great, I cant wait for its release!

I think its great there are so many dedicated people working on this for us.

So many people seem to be taking this for granted...

Looking forward to the release! And thank you! :)

Thanks for all of your hard work. Do you want some help in making it a Universal Binary?

I do... I need a tester on PPC who is comfortable with the Terminal and willing to restore their touch a couple times to help me get it working.

i would, but the problem is the wifi access. i dont have wifi at home, but i pick up an open network if i come outside the house and walk a few paces down... if i had a notebook this could work, but since i have a powermac g5 its quite hard to carry it down the road just to have the ipod plugged whilst picking up wifi at the same time!

any more progress though?

No pressure, and I really appreciate all that you're doing, but do you have any idea when this will be released?

nice work! i'm not really into theese things, but if you once installed all the things like installer.app and springboard, can you uninstall it afterwards?

Question

Hey yo Arix, nice work man
but i have a question, my touch is gonna ship this week so i cant try iJailbreak yet.
So what does iJB accomplish, does it just jailbreak it or does it install any apps on it (i think i read somewhere that iJB installs the Installer.app on the home screen of the ipod)

After i use iJB, will i have to any more hacking, or can i just run Installer.app and have it install apps on the ipod?

thnx and good work

Yes, by restoring your iPod.

It jailbreaks and installs Installer.app :)

So after i use iJB i don't have to do any more hacking and i can go ahead and run Installer.app on my ipod and install apps?
