MY client wants to use two sony nx AVCHD at FX 24Mbps (1080p) cameras (one big pro nx5e, other is consumer HDR-XR550VE).
He also wants to use my HDV camera, Sony HDR-HC3E (hdv tape).

Is it possible to combine both avchd and hdv in the same timeline? ie if i set both to Apple pro res will this make video edit together quickly (no render after cutting/moving clips) and render time, hdv always takes longer to render, will this effect render times significantly - also export time?

If you capture the tape with either the Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) or a ProRes variant, and import the AVCHD footage via Log & Transfer and transcode it to AIC or ProRes, it should work.
But both sources should use the same codec, either AIC or ProRes, and the Sequence should use the same.

should i shoot in 1080i with the nx avchd cams so that it matches the image of hdv or just shoot in fx, 1080p (as will be making final export progressive anyway)
