So i found out today that my university is shifting to google for our email, calendaring, etc. Now my question, what is the best way to sync ical and the google calendar? And also, i already have a separate gmail account, can i have one view of both accounts, or do i need to log in two different times?

Currently, you can't actually 'sync' between the two calendar systems without using a 3rd party solution, like Spanning Sync...

Re: two Google email accounts -- you can have one forward its email to the other, but otherwise you'll be looking at logging in at two different accounts.

I believe the last part of the above post is not correct regarding two accounts. Go into gmail and look under settings. You have the ability to add addition accounts that both receive and send mail. An even easier solution, which is what I do, is just have a couple different mailboxes allocated per account and use Apple's Mail application. It's great and simple to use and allows you an endless set of options for each individual mail account.
